1-on-1 Custom Photography Workshop

Workshop Leader: Andy Nguyen is one of the world’s top all-round bird photographer, and is considered by many in the industry to be a wildlife photography artist. His images have won multiple International Wildlife Awards, and been published in many high-profile magazines, including National Geographic.

Quick introduction: Learning hands-on in the field with award-winning wildlife photographer Andy Nguyen is a great way to improve your photography at once. A full day will be spent on location, where we will be shooting and going over many aspects of photography, including techniques and strategies.

How it works: You will contact me with your desired workshop date. I will get back to you with regards to its availability. We will discuss about course details, including place, time, and the subjects to shoot.

Objectives: There are many to choose from, including but not limited to:
          •Digital camera settings
          •Hand holding techniques
          •Bird stalking techniques
          •Using natural light effectively
          •Birds in flight photography
          •Composition in the wild
          •Getting to know your subjects and their behaviors

These workshops will be right for you if:
          •You want to learn a lot in such a short time
          •You get frustrations from not knowing what your shots are missing
          •You feel that your photography is stagnant and want to take it a step(s) higher

Price:
A full day with two shooting sessions (morning 7am-10am & afternoon 3pm-6pm, times vary depending on season and weather) $400 / each person. Travel costs are extra.

Required equipment:
A digital SLR (DSLR) and a telephoto lens of at least 300mm. Tripod, flash, and other lenses are optional.

Physical requirements:
Should you choose not to bring a tripod, you must be able to hand hold your lens for at least 30 seconds at a time. Depending on which location, you will be doing a lot of walking, hiking, wading, standing.
